Live in an alpine paradise, among Canada’s spectacular Rocky Mountains. After practicing your English skills at training place during the day, you can go hiking, cycling, climbing, in some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. In the evening, you will enjoy the social life with other young people from Canada, Australia, Japan, Brazil, and many other countries. In fact, many host companies offer social sightseeing events for their interns.

The first half of the program consist of preparation in Vancouver. the last portion of the program is a paid practicum in their Banffor Canmore, Alberta. Most of the host companies are hotels, restaurants or resorts. Some positions are also available at a resort in a beautiful wilderness area approximately 15 minutes from Banff.

Schedule & Terms
The first half of the Banff & Canmore Internship Program involves training at Vancouver. this is the super-intensive schedule, which is from 9:00 AM to 3:40 PM, Monday to Friday.
 
The minimum term for this program is 16 weeks. There is always an equal amount of classroom instruction and internship, regardless of the overall length of the program.

Opportunities
In Banffand Canmore, there are practicum positions available in Office Administration, Tourism & Hospitality and may other fields.
 
We always try to place interns in the position that are suited for their interests. Of course, a specific match will depend on availability, as well as your background and abilities. Nothing is ever guaranteed.

Practicum Allowance
Interns in Banff and Canmore are compensated with competitive stipend. Stipends are dependant on:

- the type of position you engage in
- the skills you possess
- your language skills
- your commitment level to your placement.

Stipend usually start at CAD$9.50 per hour for housekeeping positions. For most other positions, stipends are usually CAD$11.00 to CAD$14.00 per hour. No specific stipend is guaranteed, however, until you receive an internship position offer.

Practicum assignments are always available between April 1 and September 30. Also, interns beginning in the last half of December can be assured of internship placement. If you want to begin your practicum at another time of the year, you should let us know upon signing an application. We will then ensure that a practicum is reserved for you before you apply.
