NVQ - National Vocational Qualification are work-related, competence-based qualification. The NVQ Sandwich course is approved by the UK Home Office Immigration and Nationality Directorate.

We have 2 options for this program.

2-year sandwich course program which requires student to have 6 - 12 months experience. Students are allowed to work 20 hours per week as per UK Home Office regulation.

NVQ Care Course includes:

• Registration with awarding body
• Basic skills assessment
• Preparation of student learning plan
• Induction, allocation of personal course assessor
• Assessor visits to workplace
• Deliery of underpinning knowledge where agreed
• awarding body certification

Course Eligibility and Admission:

1. Academic qualifications:

A qualification in Health or Social Care is required. Such as:
- A nursing qualification or health related qualification (degree, diploma)
- A social worker qualification
- Nursing assistant certificate
- Caregiver course (Certificate in Caregiver NCII)

2. Work Experience in Health and Social Care

It is preferable for applicants to have an experience as caregiver for a minimum of 6 to 12 months. Newly trained nurses and nurse assistant can apply without experience.
